Los Angeles Times has named Laurie Ochoa general manager of Food and Daniel Hernandez editor of Food. Ochoa is currently a deputy editor in Entertainment and Arts. Hernandez has served as deputy Food editor since last September.

Sara Yasin has been named a managing editor for the Los Angeles Times. Yasin will oversee the daily news operation as part of The Times leadership team beginning April 18.
The two will work to continue developing The Times’ cultural coverage and to launch new initiatives.

The Midwest native is coming to Los Angeles to focus on the ways air quality affects overall environmental health.
Newsroom veteran has joined the leadership of the Los Angeles Times’ breaking news department initiative.
The Dallas native will be overseeing coverage of politics and policy as The Times continues to expand its reporting from the nation’s capital.
She is taking on this new role to help lead the midterm elections coverage after a temporary assignment with the Washington, D.C., bureau.
